Recognition Best Practices

Writing Great Recognitions
  • Be specific: Describe exactly what the person did
  • Explain impact: Share how their action helped the team or company
  • Be timely: Recognize contributions soon after they happen
  • Be genuine: Write from the heart

Good Example:

"Sarah, thank you for staying late last night to help debug the production issue. Your quick thinking and expertise with the database saved us from hours of downtime. The customer didn't even notice the issue thanks to you!"

Avoid:

"Great job Sarah!"
